Canada invites skilled worker candidates in the latest Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program draw. 29 Express Entry candidates were invited in the July-18-2019 draw. The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) allowed the province of Manitoba to nominate economic class immigration candidates for Canadian permanent residence.
The invitations, known as Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs), were issued through MPNP immigration streams namely as Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Workers Overseas and International Education.
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program said 29 of the invitations issued went to candidates with a valid profile in the federal Express Entry system.
Express Entry is Canada’s main source of skilled foreign talent. The system manages the pool of candidates for some of Canada’s main economic-class immigration programs — the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and Canadian Experience Class.

The Number of Skilled Workers Overseas candidates invited in the July 18 draw is 40.
The Submission of an Expression of Interest (EOI) is the first step for most MPNP skilled worker sub-streams. An Expression of Interest requires a candidate to enter their basic information like their education, work experience, proficiency in English or French and connections to Manitoba, among other details and awards a score based on the answers.
Candidates whose scores are highest are invited through regular draws from Manitoba’s EOI pool.

The draw brings the total number of LAAs issued to the candidates in 2019 to 5,506.
