Express Entry record

The Government of Canada has set another Express Entry record for the most solicitations issued in a single year.

Migration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) broke the record with a draw held December 19 that issued 3,900 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for Canadian perpetual living arrangement.

The 3,900 ITAs brought the aggregate number of solicitations issued in 2018 to 89,800, which broke the past record of 86,023 ITAs set in 2017.

IRCC connected the ‘tie-break’ rule for Express Entry competitors with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 439. This implies ITAs will be issued to all applicants with scores over 439 and competitors with scores of 439 who presented their Express Entry profiles before February 6, 2018, at 19:31:37 UTC

Remote nationals should initially meet the qualification criteria for one of three financial movement programs overseen by the Express Entry framework — the Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWC), Federal Skilled Trades Class (FSTC) and the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). Qualified applicants are then gone into the Express Entry pool and are appointed a CRS score out of 1,200 dependent on their attributes, for example, training, work understanding and English or French dialect capability.

Amid intermittent draws, IRCC welcomes the most noteworthy positioning applicants from the pool.

Welcomed applicants have 60 days from the date of getting their ITA to present a total Canadian lasting home application to the Government of Canada.
