# Manitoba PNP (MPNP): Streams & Eligibility

**Quick answer:** The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) nominates skilled workers in Manitoba, skilled workers overseas with a strong Manitoba connection or invitation through a strategic recruitment initiative, Manitoba graduates and business investors.

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) allows the province of Manitoba to nominate skilled workers, international graduates, and business investors for Canadian permanent residence. Manitoba is a growing province in central Canada with strong demand for workers in healthcare, construction, manufacturing, and information technology.

The MPNP includes several pathways: the Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream for individuals who are already working in Manitoba with a full-time job offer, the Skilled Workers Overseas stream for individuals outside Canada with strong connections to Manitoba, and the International Education stream for international graduates from Manitoba institutions.

The Skilled Workers Overseas stream uses a Strategic Recruitment Initiative, where MPNP recruiters travel internationally to assess and select qualified workers in occupations that are in demand. Candidates who are selected are invited to submit a full application for provincial nomination.

Manitoba also offers a Business Investor stream for entrepreneurs who wish to establish or purchase a business in the province. Nominees who receive a Manitoba provincial nomination receive a letter of nomination, which enables them to apply to the federal government for permanent residence. Those nominated through an Express Entry-aligned stream receive 600 additional CRS points.
