# Ontario PNP (OINP): Streams, Eligibility & Draws

**Quick answer:** The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) is Ontario's PNP. Its Express Entry streams (Human Capital Priorities, French-Speaking Skilled Worker and Skilled Trades) select candidates from the federal pool, often by occupation, and a nomination adds 600 CRS points. Employer Job Offer and Masters/PhD graduate streams are also available.

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) is Ontario's provincial nominee program that allows the province to nominate skilled workers, international students, and business people for Canadian permanent residence. Ontario is Canada's most populous province and its economic hub, making it a top destination for immigrants.

The OINP includes several streams such as the Human Capital Priorities Stream, the Employer Job Offer streams, the Masters Graduate stream, and the PhD Graduate stream. Each stream targets different types of candidates based on their skills, education, work experience, and ties to Ontario.

Many OINP streams are aligned with the federal Express Entry system. Candidates who receive a provincial nomination from Ontario automatically receive 600 additional Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points, virtually guaranteeing an invitation to apply for permanent residence from the federal government.

To be eligible for the OINP, candidates typically need to demonstrate their intent to settle in Ontario, meet occupational requirements, and satisfy the specific criteria of the stream they are applying through. Consulting a qualified immigration professional can greatly improve your chances of a successful application.
