Australia Skilled Nominated Visa (Subclass 190)

Steps involved in applying Skilled Nominated Visa
Step 1: Check whether your occupation is on the Skilled Occupation Lists or not
This visa is only available to those who have an occupation in occupation list.
Step 2: Make sure you meet all the eligibility requirements
- Age must be less than 50
- Knowledge of basic English
- Should meet the health requirements
- Should meet the character requirements
- Should not have any O/S debts to the government of Australia
Step 3: Complete Skill Assessment
You need to complete a Skill Assessment and get an acceptable score in order to be entitled for the Subclass 190 visa. Your score must meet all requirements specified on your letter of invitation which is explained in step 5.
Step 4: Through SkillSelect submit an Expression of Interest (EOI)
Next, through SkillSelect you need to submit an Expression of Interest. This program will ask you a number of questions like your background, your skills & work history.
Step 5: Get a nomination by the government
This visa class needs you to be nominated by a state government or territory government. Once you submit your Expression of Interest, it will be evaluated by government authorities.
Step 6: Apply for the Visa
After finding an employer and getting a nomination, you can apply for this visa online through the DHA. You must attach some documents along with your application.
Step 7: Wait for a decision
It can take a number of months for the DHA to make a decision.
Step 8: Procure your visa & start working
After the approval of your visa, you will get your visa and then you can start working in Australia.
